Second Life of Plastic for Termoplast
This is the environmental product certification system, created by the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics in Milan IPPR, dedicated to products obtained from the enhancement of plastic waste coming from industrial processes.
A new certification is added to Termoplast’s list. This is “Second Life of Plastic,” an environmental product certification system, created by the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics in Milan.
The certification is dedicated to the materials and products obtained from the enhancement of plastic waste coming from an accurate selection of industrial scraps.
An important result for the Tuscan company, European leader in the production of “flexible technical films”. In facts, “Second Life of Plastic” is the first Italian certification dedicated to plastic recycling, which introduces the concept of “quality” and “traceability” in recycled plastics. It arises from the company’s constant research in terms of sustainability, and the need to enhance waste resulting from its industrial processes, otherwise recovered for less noble applications.
With this new certification “PSV from industrial waste” Termoplast certifies the management process of such production waste and their recovery methods within some highly innovative and excellent quality “film” structures for the industrial sector, with variable content up to 70%. Like this a new Termoplast page kicks off, aimed at a better service towards the customer and towards the planet with an increasingly green footprint.
Termoplast is the market leader in the production of flexible technical films for lamination, with and without high gas barrier, according to the principle of flexibility and customization, based in Gambassi Terme, in the heart of Tuscany. Pioneers in new production and analysis technologies, from the production of barrier films since the end of the 90s, to the first 9-layer line in 2009, up to the development of high-orientation films with MDO in 2017, up to the most advanced technologies analysis such as Raman spectrophotometry. Still nowadays, among the few companies able to supply really special products at European level.
Thanks to the massive investments made, the company is among the few in Italy and Europe having today the ability to propose new sustainable solutions with low environmental impact. Termoplast has been designing and manufacturing technical films for food, pharmaceutical / medical and industrial sectors for three generations. In Italy as abroad, Termoplast is the ally and the reference point for companies facing markets becoming technically more and more difficult to satisfy.
